One thing to note about your calendar-wallpaper is which size you want your wallpaper to be. You can choose low or high resolution versions, depending on what fits best and personal preference. Then it's just a matter of saving the wallpaper image and selecting 'set as wallpaper.' Easy enough, right? Mac users just save the image and then use the desktop pictures in your control panel to position and place your wallpaper calendar photo the way you want it. I guess the challenging thing is finding an 'image calendar' that's the right 'look' for you. This page will give you a basic overview of wallpaper calendars - you'll find themes such as 'nature made, seasons, art and fantasy' in the navigation bar on the left side.
One of the most important things to note is to make sure your calendar desktop wallpaper has the right year... :) You can also find some particularly exquisite nature and cityscape calendar-wallpapers here.
