Groovy Desktop Calendars!

Here's the question. How can you use desktop calendars to reduce any time wasting habits you may have 'accidently' absorbed?

Be honest. We've all picked up habits that can slow us down at times. In my case I get so addicted to my 'projects' that I'll only know what day it is by looking at my diary.

Maybe you can relate to that.

But can desktop calendars really help? After all, YOU decide what time you want to watch DVDs or go to bed!

Well, in a subtle way, I think calendars can help us by reinforcing good habits.

It's said that repetition is the first LAW of learning. (So in order to learn something new, you need to keep repeating it).

And the easiest way to do this by repeating these new habits (for 10-20 times, or more) until they become second nature, and ingrained into your daily activities!

Pretty simple, right?

Where Do Desktop Calendars Fit In To This?

Did you know that Thomas Edison, arguably the most successful creative genius in human history, once said that creativity is 99 percent perspiration and only 1 percent inspiration?

What I think Thomas was hinting at is that it takes a lot of hard work and persistence to reach your goals.

You can't give up at that first steep hill you come to. You can't give up if one particular way doesn't work. (Another way will!)

When one door slams, another will always open for you.

So not only do you need to take off at full throttle, but you need to have a plan too.

That's where desktop calendars come in.

With a weekly or monthly calendar you can lay out the action steps you need to take... And set yourself up so that you repeat those good habits every week.

It's easy to write your goals into a calendar that's sitting right there on your desk!

5 Quick Planning Lifestyle Tips

Try getting up an hour earlier. You'll be amazed the difference it makes. It feels so much fresher too, and it's a little more quieter in those morning hours... you could take a walk or get some extra study done.

Write down your daily list of things to do. Cross them off the list as you finish them. Actually a good idea is to write down the 5 most important things you must do today.

Have you ever outsourced? This is a great way to give yourself more 'life time.' Are there projects that you don't want to do, and that someone else could do? Sometimes it's worth paying for outsourcing.

Another GOOD idea is to check your emails at certain times. Perhaps once in the morning and once in the afternoon. You can also compose your messages and emails offline in a text editor and then send all your emails at once.

Put your goals (most wanted desires) on a note and put them where you can see them. (Side of your computer or fridge is good). This way you get a constant reminder of what you're all about and what your mission is.

Easy To Implement Desk Calendars

Try adopting a few of the little changes we mention above into your life and see what happens. And remember to:
