Electronic-calendars are often contact and time management web applications that allow you to synchronize your calendar details and information with other online users... A good example is a Google calendar. Other examples are the electronic-calendar you'll find in Microsoft Outlook or iCal on (Apple) Mac OS X computers... The cool thing about electronic-calendars is that all the details are stored online. It's a pretty handy way to organize and manage projects when you've got a group of people working towards one common goal.
You can also synchronize some of the online calendars with mobile devices such as the BlackBerry, Palm Pilot or Pocket PC, and probably lots more too. I predict electronic-calendars are going to become super popular judging by how rapidly we are evolving towards high tech, high-speed, cyber-communication... Yahoo also has a similar online calendar. It allows you to sync your calendar with palm device, some cellphones, share schedules between users, travel back in time (Ok, not quite yet), set alarms, send emails, and no doubt do other cool stuff online with your friends. Another online personal organizer (see example below) is 30 Boxes.
According to Wikipedia, 30 Boxes is... "...an online personal organizer with strong social aspects... It consists of several applications including a critically acclaimed calendar, to do lists, identity aggregation, event mapper, people search, and web desktop that is currently provided free-of-charge to users..." You may also want to cast an eye over Jotlet.
