I'll be the first to admit I know little about how the Forex or FX (Foreign Exchange) trading actually works.

But it's amazing how quickly you can learn!

A Forex portal or website often includes everything from live currency rates, to quotes and trends and economic indicators.

To world interest rates, and other important stuff such as currency converters, brokers information, trading strategies and so on.

The foreign exchange (currency or Forex or FX) market exists wherever one currency is traded for another.

Focusing On The Forex

It is by far the largest financial market in the world and includes trading between large banks, central banks, currency speculators, multinational corporations, governments and other financial markets and institutions.

The average daily trade in the global forex markets is over US$ 3 trillion.

The Forex calendar is also known as a currency calendar. Forex trading (or currency trading) goes on continuously throughout the day.

As the Asian trading session ends, the European session begins, and then the North American session, and so on. (They take a well earned break on weekends though!)

Political conditions (such as regional conflicts or instability) and market psychology influence the foreign exchange market in different ways, as you might expect.

And yes, many profitable Forex trades are made moments prior to or shortly after major economic announcements!

Keep on the look out for Forex currency calendars which allow you to choose which month you want to look at (or analyze).

The bottom line is that you really need to know what you're doing if you're going to get involved with the FX market.
