Before we do, it's said that the first game of golf was played way back in 1456AD in Edinburgh, Scotland. Now of course golf has become a huge worldwide sport with golf courses in almost all countries.
And golf enthusiasts everywhere you go...
Basically, in golf one uses a club, or stick, to hit a very small ball around a very large field, and try to get that small ball into a little hole on the golf course in the lowest possible number of strokes.
But just what is the fascination factor with golf?
It could be the quiet hush that falls over the crowd (spectators) when a golfer is about to tee off.
Or maybe the use of flags, to show the golfer where they need to be aiming for. Sure would be hard to get the ball in the hole if those flags weren't there!
