Looking out for a easy-to-use julian date calendar?
You'll find a selection below. But before you do, enjoy a story...
Imagine a nice fellow named Julius Caesar walking into the cavern with a date calendar in his hot little hands, smiling gleefully.
Julius goes on to explain to everyone listening all the great benefits to using his new time management by the stars tool.
After he's all done, everyone claps and bows and drinks are on the house.

Hipparchus
OK so it may not have happened exactly like that. After all, it's going back in time a tad. Round about 46 BC, actually.
And around that time no one was using digital cameras, but there was always a few amazing artists hanging around. Not to mention...
A whole bunch of astronomers, mathematicians, designers and poets too.
Anyhow, the subject of our story, the julian date calendar, has the normal 365 days and 12 months type of stuff, (actually 365.25) but has been all but replaced by a calendar called the Gregorian calendar.
(Named after a guy called Greg, naturally).
Hold on. Have you noticed, the deeper you get into this stuff, the more complex and fascinating it gets?
Anyway, way back then there were some super cool dudes. These dudes played quite a significant role in designing the julian date calendar.
Dudes such as the astronomer Sosigenes of Alexandria, and the Greek astronomer, geographer and mathematician Hipparchus.

Use your calendar to plan adventures
Actually, we know these guys were very clever, because they were full on into mapping calendars and the STARS, and amazing stuff like that.
A little bit like Google is doing with Google Earth today!
Fast forward to year 1582.
Pope Gregory XIII (that's not a caffeine drink) and the Roman Empire ROCKED up, did some neat publicity and pushed out their own brand calendar, the Gregorian calendar.
And the julian date calendar got a little fazed out.
But what happened next?
Well, now we use the Gregorian calendar. Yet a few of us want the 'original' too. For example, in Northern Africa, the julian calendar is still in use for agricultural purposes.
And you want one too. Is that right? I hope it is... because I've gone out of my way to bring you the best 'original' calendar selection I could find.
Here you go. You can thank me later.
