Was The Mayan Calendar Really
The World's First Internet?

If you've never experienced the rich blessings of a Mayan calendar (also known as Myan calendar or Maya calendar), prepare to be truly amazed.

You may already know that a Maya calendar originates from the Maya civilization.

But where that is exactly?

Just think of the Honduras, Costa Rica region, (below Mexico, and north west of Brazil).

A region once refreshingly known as MesoAmerica.

Those MesoAmerican dudes were amazing, not just because they had a unique 260 day calendar -

But they also had some pretty cool stuff happening, like:

"Complex sociopolitical systems, reached advanced technological, scientific, and mathematical levels, and participated in long distance interaction networks that resulted in new ideas and ideology."

They used a 260 day, 365 day calendar, and a 584 day Venus calendar too. (This tracked the appearance of Venus as the morning and evening stars).

Not only were the Mayans skilled astronomers and extremely accurate planetary observers...

They also had their own numbering system, pictographic and hieroglyphic writing systems (not to mention throwing a few various forms of sacrifice in there too).

And my bet is they probably knew exactly what the future would hold, and probably the past too.

It's likely they knew the Internet would eventually arrive...

But was their Mayan calendar system much like the Internet is for us today?

Well, their calendars were unique in that they could be "synchronized and interlocked in complex ways" which gave rise to further calendar cycles.

I guess in other words this means that it was all linked up.

You see, while nowadays we use fibre optics to be able to communicate in a flash, and link up with each other across vast oceans, and continents, these dudes did much the same...

Except they used the planets and the stars.

Inter-net. Connected communities. Everyone in touch with each other. No boundaries.

Or imagine... knowing which days are best for resting, or playing, which days you shouldn't go to work, and what days you should tackle big projects because you'll have a better likelihood of getting them completed.

Sometimes, knowing the future (at least, a little bit of it) comes in kinda handy...

Anyway I urge you to check out the Mayan civilization one day... it's fascinating.

It's always good to get in tune with this stuff... You'll love it.

Meanwhile I'd better give you what you came here for, right?

Calendars Of Remarkable Accuracy And Complexity

How brilliant were these guys? Incredibly accurate calendars, and check out the ancient Mayan Pyramid Chichen Itza, (Yucatan, Mexico). This pyramid was used as a calendar: four stairways, each with 91 steps and a platform at the top, making a total of 365, equivalent to the number of days in a calendar year. The highly sophisticated Mayan.

The 260 day ritual calendar used a count of 260 days. This calendar gave each day a name, much like our days of the week. There were 20 day names, each represented by a unique symbol. The days were numbered from 1 to 13.
