Perhaps Sandy Lyle had a triathlon calendar in mind when she was quoted saying "it's not whether you win or lose but whether I win or lose!"
Whichever way you look at it, you've got to admire those who enter running events and particularly those of you who enter triathlons.
Triathlons are serious events. We're talking 5-10KM or more, and that's just the running part!
The psychology of running fascinates me. The mindset of achieving such a challenge, running techniques, the training involved and what makes anyone do such a thing!

From what I can see, a LOT of people enjoy reading about running, as well as love running in marathons and entering triathlons.
So the triathlon and marathon calendar selection below should be appropriately motivating.
Triathlon events bring up many questions for the professional athlete. For example:
How to deal with fatigue, how your muscles work, what food or drinks to eat and what to avoid (and more!)
But also - which footwear is best, should you drink caffeine before an event or endurance (a great question), stretching and training, etc.
Perhaps the bottom line is that you sure do need to know what you're doing before you even think about competing in a triathlon!
