The Wild And Wacky World
Of Weekly Calendars!
Mulling over using weekly calendars?
This page will help! But hey - who says calendars have to be for appointments and reminders only? Yep, week based calendars are common for the absent-minded person or someone with so many things to plan too. (Note to self - get one!)
They can be used for personal, family or business use. Calendars for the week can be used for gathering infinite ideas and you can even make one at home for yourself or friends. Plus they make great holiday gifts too. (Only a little imagination required!)
And best of all, this sort of calendar is best used for goal-oriented planning because you can concentrate on a week at a time! See how I emphasized that? (That's because it's so important - no one wants information overload!)
These type of week based or blank printable calendars are also, believe it or not, great for meal planning for those that are watching their budget or weight. Only one piece of paper is needed to create a calendar for one week and there's enough room to put pictures, shopping lists or the KTM supermoto picture you've been eyeing off!
They can also be used to keep track of exercise regimes. In a nutshell, week based calendars are for anything that you need help keeping track of!
Everybody needs some type of calendar. But what kind of calendar would be useful to you? To answer this think about your goals... Perhaps your current goal is to try to save the world's environmental problems overnight. (!)
In that case, you'd need to think about how you will achieve that goal. Maybe you'll consider scheduling lots of deep seated study time and sticking to that schedule. That's exactly how your calendar can help you... It helps you to remember your plans by helping you to stick to your goal!
Wow, that last paragraph nearly wore me out!
Anyways... Once you're clear about your goals, you can easily make your own calendars the old fashioned way, (with paper, pencil and a ruler) but believe me, it's much easier (and neater) to use a computer program such as Microsoft Excel.
Alternatively do some online browsing and you'll find millions of pre-made templates everywhere. Having uttered those words, chances are you have weekly calendar template already in your very computer!
If you can handle using Microsoft Excel, click on the 'Spreadsheet solutions' tab. There should be a complete selection of different style templates sitting there that you can play with. Increase the size of the document if you have more projects to do! You can also break each day down into hours if your schedule includes things like gym appointments or cooking classes. (Just to name a few!)
So, to sum up, you should be using weekly calendars because they ROCK! Just print it out on your trusty printer and personalize your calendar a bit. And try printing two copies out... leave one at home in your study or studio, and the other goes with you at all times! Get busy...
